The top picture is from April of last year (2011), whilst the bottom is now.
It may not be clearly visible, probably because of the different posture of the picture or lighting or the fact that the webcam was used etc., but there is definitely a difference to me.
I started doing weights at the beginning of February 2011, and have been doing them on and off since then. But in the last month or so I’ve started doing push-ups and sit ups too, instead of just focusing on my arms.
I started to do to it not for vanity reasons as such, I don’t want to be jacked and have a plunging V-neck sweater and a fake tan. Those guys are dicks. I just wanted to feel a bit better about myself, to feel less skinny. Besides that, it gives me (as well as Manny, who is busy in the third world) some exercise to do daily whilst I sit at home doing fuck all and eating terrible food. My diet essentially consists of pizza, bacon, pasta and burgers, so it’s not an eating problem; I eat shit and a lot of it, I’m just naturally this way.
As I said it doesn’t look like much different, but it definitely is in my eyes. My chest/stomach definitely look and feel more… defined than they’ve ever done so, and it makes me feel good. I will always be skinny, but hopefully I won’t look dangerously skinny. Just doing a little bit (probably less than an hour a night) of weights and push-ups etc. have a helped a lot, not only in body but mind too.
